Matthew James Didier - Co-Chair

Matthew is the founder of the Ghosts and Hauntings Research Societies which have been active since 1997. Matthew is still deeply involved with investigations and research with his original groups, The Toronto Ghosts and Hauntings Research Society and The Ontario Ghosts and Hauntings Research Societies. Matthew is currently a regular contributor to the CFRB paranormal radio program, Mind/Shift with his partner, Susan Darroch (see below). He is active in the "living history" community and has been an active War of 1812 re-enactor and volunteered his services to many different historic groups and museums, most notably in this aspect, he is webmaster and server administrator for the Upper Canadian Heritage Websites. Matthew's love of the paranormal and history is matched only by what some term his "unhealthy obsession" with double-decker buses which can be seen by another of his websites, DoubleDeckerBuses.Org.

Sue Darroch - Co-Chair

Sue Darroch is one of the founders and webmaster of ParaResearchers which has been active in the province of Ontario since the year 2000. Sue is a professional within the graphics and communications industry. She considers herself first and foremost an amateur scientist with specific interests in astronomy, physics, and exo-biology. Sue has made an impressive impact within the Parascience community as a hands-on investigator of this phenomena. She also is greatly involved with The Ontario Ghosts and Hauntings Research Societies as well as assisting many of the international GHRS directors with the development of innovative investigative techniques and methodology. Sue has contributed as technical consultant on various media projects and has been a regular guest on CFRB's Mind/Shift. Her public speaking engagements include Skeptics Canada, Ontario Institute For Studies & Education, University of Toronto. For fun she enjoys historical study and is considered an authority on Tudor England, and William Lyon Mackenzie, a personal hero of hers.

Heather Anderson - Board Member

Heather comes to us from British Columbia. Her involvement with the GHRS has included visiting Langara College & BCIT as a guest speaker discussing alleged hauntings in BC and the role of ghost researcher/investigator. She is strongly involved with field investigations and research with the BCGHRS, which she has directed since 2001.She has quickly become an avid historian of cities such as North Vancouver, Greater Vancouver, New Westminster and Burnaby and has a secondary interest in genealogy. Heather works from home in the medical field and has four young children with her husband Sean.

Lisa Finlay - Board Member

Lisa is a founding member and director of ParaResearchers. Lisa is an executive assistant within the manufacturing sector. Her superior organizational skills and keen sceptical mind make her an ideal investigator/researcher within the fields of paranormal study. She has acted as technical consultant in both radio and television. Lisa has also participated in public speaking engagements on behalf of ParaResearchers. Her main interests include photography, astronomy and computer sciences. Lisa is an avid Star Trek fan.

Teresa Brown - Board Member

Teresa is a high school history and English teacher by profession, and is a field researcher for the Toronto GHRS and PSICAN. A member of several historical societies and a published author, Teresa is currently working on several writing projects on local history, including a book of reports of hauntings in Canadian prisons.

Steve Smiley - Board Member

Steve is currently an investigator with TGHRS for over two years (as of 2005). He has been active off and on for 15 years researching the ghosts and hauntings phenomenon. A Registered Graphic Design and Art Director, Steve has contributed to CITY TV & The Toronto Observer.

Scott A. Smith - Board Member

Scott began his career as a theatrical performer and, over the past 30 years, has performed in most major theatres across Canada, eventually being drawn into the areas of directing, choreography, teaching, and producing, Scott is currently a freelance writer as well as a field investigator with the Toronto Ghosts and Hauntings Research Society.
