Who Are The Friends of Fort George? The Friends of Fort George is a non-profit, co-operating association. Our mandate is to support Parks Canada and the protection, preservation, development and interpretation of the historical resources and stories of national significance of Niagara National Historic Sites which include: Fort George, Brock's Monument, Butler's Barracks, Fort Mississauga, the Lakeshore Properties and the Military Reserve known as "The Commons." The Fort is in the old town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and is about a 25 minute drive north of Niagara Falls, one of Canada's foremost attractions.
