Private Tours

Yes we can do private tours! Yes on a private tour you can take all the flash photographs you want. The tour will last the same amount of time and access the same areas in the Fort as a regular tour, but within this format there is some flexibility in spending more time in areas that are of particular interest to your group. We can have the guide give the regular tour to your private group, or for those that have been on the regular tour a billion times and are looking for a more 'investigatory' experience, our guide can happily just smile at you and answer your requests for historical and ghostly information.

If you want your private tour on a night when Ghost Tours regularly run (the easy way to book a private tour), we will launch your tour 30min after the last regular tour of the night heads in. There is a minimum cost of $150 for the first 10 participants, and $10 for each additional person beyond 10.

If you need your private tour on a night that Ghost Tours does not normally run (the more difficult way to book a private tour), we will do our best to coordinate a date when you are available, Ghost Tour staff are available, and the Fort is available. This is a complex endeavour, as Fort George is expanding its offering of evening programming for special events and corporate groups, which means (understandably) that they are unwilling to commit to Ghost Tour access, when that date could be filled with a large corporate contract. Because of this we are unable to book alternate nights more than 30 days in advance. For alternate night bookings there is a minimum cost of $225 for the first 10 participants, and $15 for each additional person beyond 10.

Please note that for both kinds of private tours, you need to book with us in advance, and we only have so many trained Ghost Tour guides, so we may not be able to accommodate your group on our busier nights.
