The Caribou Hotel in Carcross has been designated a Yukon historic site under the Yukon Historic Resources Act. The hotel is one of the oldest buildings in the Southern Lakes Region having been built in1898 during the height of the gold rush. The hotel has a rich history, and it is therefore of no surprise that throughout its years ghost stories have been told about it. These would include the sightings of a female apparition wandering the halls, and of mild poltergeist activity such as doors opening, and closing. We do not have any recent reports from this location.

Have you experienced anything unusual at The Caribou Hotel or elsewhere in the Yukon? Can you add any further information to this report? If so please do contact us at admin@psican.org. Your privacy will be protected, and confidentiality is assured.
