Government House located in Regina is a museum, and heritage site. Its resident ghost has been nicknamed Howie, and is thought to be the spirit of a former cook that had worked there.

Mild poltergeist activity has been attributed to Howie including phantom footsteps, doors opening, and closing without human assistance, and items disappearing, and reappearing again in places where Howie would have wanted them to be.

A male apparition has been seen in mirrors along with people's own reflections, also a male spirit has been reported to have been sighted in the kitchen area.

However, Howie may not be alone. The sounds of children laughing when there were no children in the house have also been reported.
