Numerology
Numerology can explain what makes a person tick as much as what that person may do in a given situation. Like astrology and palmistry, the more detailed the reading, the easier it is to illustrate personality traits and habits and the choices that a person is likely to make.
Basic or starting numerology determines the birth number and the life number. From these two numbers, a reader can describe what a person is more or less like, what colours, numbers, life style, career, school, crystals, days, hours, years, etc, etc are best for them, and much more detail through various secondary numbers.
To determine a birth number, you simply take the full birth date of the person and add up the numbers. Using me as an example:
February 16, 1951 equals 2 + 1 + 6 + 1 + 9 + 5 + 1 equals 25, and 2 + 5 equals 7. So, my birth number is 7. And, from that, I can determine my month number = 2, my personality {or day} number = 7, and my year number = 7. {A reader can also tell from the repeating 7s that 7 plays a "big" role in my life.}
Determining a life number is a little more complicated. You take the person's birth name - their full name on their birth certificate and apply numbers to the individual letters. {There are two numbering systems in use - kabbalistic and modern. The kabbalistic system dates back to BCE rabbinical teachings {so it's kind of old, ancient, etc and my personal preference}. Modern is, of course, exactly what it says - a modern numbering system.} Any "later" names, such as married names, nicknames, name changes, etc, also count.
So, my birth name is Janet Carol Pollock and my witch's name {also a long-time nickname} is Ashley. Using the kabbalistic system, my life number is 16 + 16 + 33 = 65 = 11 = 2, my first name = 7, my middle name = 7, my family name = 33 = 6, and my witch's name = 18 = 9. {Again, you can see more repetitions - 2s, 7s, and 11s. Interestingly, 9 as my witch's name cause my 7s and 2s to focus. The 11s simply enhance the focus.}
So, how did I get to this interpretation? Well, I'm going to be horribly rotten here and let you try to figure it out. Ditto for your birth date and names. But, later, as I learned numerology, I started to learn how the numbers worked and led me onto the path that I've taken. I've never looked back.
